Our Coaches

At Busselton Swimming Club we value our Coaches experience, passion for the sport of swimming and commitment to our club. We take pride in nuturing future swim coaches from our senior swimmers because we believe in their passion for the sport of swimming and their knowledge and experience. Our coaches turn up rain, hail or shine and travel to meets to support our club swimmers. All of our coaches are accredited Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association Members.

All Busselton Swimming Club Coaches have either a 'Swim Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming (SAT-CS)' or Australian Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association (ASCTA) accreditation. A (SAT-CS) is accredited to teach junior swimmers in the early stages of their competitive swimming development or assist qualified and licensed Coach's in the delivery of competitive swimming programs.

ASCTA AND SAT-CS accreditation ensures our coaches:

Commitment to ongoing professional development
Currency of their swimming coaching accreditation
Agreement and compliance to member welfare, child welfare and professional conduct standards and policies of the industry
Recognition of their knowledge, experience and performance within the profession

Andrew Saxton

Head Coach

Head Coach Andrew Sexton is an Advanced level accredited coach with ASCTA (Australian Swimming Coaches& Teachers Association). He has a passion for performance coaching from his own background in high-level competitive swimming in South Africa. Andrew has been a competitive swimming coach for ten years and enjoys developing our swimmers’ skills to improve their strength and efficiency as well as realising their potential.

Carolyn Jordan (CJ)

Squad Coach

CJ comes to us with a wealth of coaching experience of swimmers of all ages, skills and abilities. She is an ASCTA Development level coach whose focus on correct technique and mastery of all strokes gives our swimmers the confidence and skills to become swimmers for life.

Trish Miller

Squad Coach

Trish has a background in swim teaching for Dept of Education WA and is an accredited Master's andAUSTSWIM qualified teacher. Trish focuses on skills and drills as well as making swimming fun for our younger members.

Amber Bee

Open Water and Squad Coach

Amber is an accredited coach with Swimming WA (SAT-CS) and ASCTA Development level coach. Amber is passionate about encouraging swimming for life and focuses not only on pool swimming but open water and distance swimming.
